Sensitivity analysis in the calibration of microscopic traffic models: from theory to implementation. This research intends to provide a standard and pragmatic SA algorithm for the calibration of traffic simulation models. It will include implementing a standard SA tool for different types of microscopic traffic simulators, developing guidelines for the use of SA in the model calibration, and disseminating the findings to improve the overall quality of traffic simulations.


Calibration Study for VISSIM (CSV): The CSV project is a cooperative research project together with the Modelling and Simulation group within the Traffic Division of Transport for the City of Zurich. It aims at finding the best strategy to calibrate the VISSIM traffic model while suiting the specific needs and characteristics of the city of Zurich. In 2011 this project was selected as one spin-off of the new National Program projects within the COST Action TU0903.
