Project summary
The goal of this research is to develop a scientifically sound set of standards for analyzing freeway weaving sections. They will include guidelines for the estimation of capacity and level of service, taking into account Swiss driving conditions (e.g., traffic behavior, speed limits, design standards, operations). The project will be carried out with the aid of analytical tools, empirical data, and microscopic traffic simulations.
