Young Railway Operations Research Award

Excellent papers on innovative research carried out and presented by participants not older than 35 years are eligible for the YOUNG RAILWAY OPERATIONS RESEARCH AWARD sponsored by the Board of IAROR. The Award is worth € 2,500. The winner will be announced during the Seminar.

• Bernard Guillelmon: Chief Executive Officer, BLS AG: Challenges and solutions of the BLS traffic management
• Dr. Peter Eichenberger: Head of driving dynamics ETCS, SBB AG: ETCS in the Crossfire of Safety, Capacity, Economics and Politics

Technical Visit

A technical visit is organised for friday. Developments and concepts for the new dispatching and dynamic traffic management system of SBB will be presented in Lucerne. In addition, systransis AG in Zug will present and exemplify the AdmiRail traffic and control system used in the Loetschberg base tunnel under ETCS Level 2. The technical visit will end in the early friday afternoon.
